Is this PDF genuine?
Upload a signed PDF. DokAudit checks every digital signature: who signed, when according to the timestamp – and whether the document has been changed since. Free and without an account; the file is only checked, never stored.
What is checked
Integrity
Whether the content has changed since signing – any change breaks the signature or is detected as a later change.
Timestamp
When it was signed, confirmed by an independent timestamp service.
DokAudit seal
Whether the document was signed and sealed with DokAudit Sign – including the document ID from the verification stamp.
Other signatures
Signatures with personal certificates, e.g. from Adobe Acrobat or trust service providers – with name and issuer.
Questions about verification
What does the QR code next to the signature mean?
It leads to the document's verification page: it shows the document ID and the time of sealing, and you can upload your copy to check whether it is the original.
Does DokAudit also verify who signed?
DokAudit Sign does not verify the identity of the person signing – the seal proves that the document has not changed since the stated time. Signatures with personal certificates show name and issuer; Adobe Acrobat additionally shows whether an issuer is recognised.
Is my file stored?
No. The file is checked and then discarded. DokAudit only stores the checksums of sealed documents – no content and no names.
Why does Adobe show “validity unknown”?
Adobe does not know DokAudit's seal certificate yet. Adobe still checks whether the document was changed. You can download the certificate on this page and add it to Acrobat as trusted.
